Dominik,
Wow!
That pretty much says
it all.
Tadioli captured the entire
concept of the Le Duc,s
charm.
The wonderfully carved scroll,
the elegant F holes,
the unique individuality of the corners, a
beautiful deep
red-brown varnish, and yes, the wonderful rich tone.
Thank you for helping
me acquire this amazing instrument!
Jim
Dear
Maurizio,
Your
cello is here and it arrived quickly and safely. You did a good job
of packing it.
Maurizio, it is truly beautiful. We are very happy with your work.
You are truly a master maker with the most artistic eye for
antiquing the varnish.
Thank you very much.

"Maurizio
Tadioli, Cremona, 2007. Tadioli has become one of the most respected
and successful of the current Cremona makers. He specializes in
reproductions of the great Cremonese masters, especially Guarneri del
Gesu. This violin is a reproduction of the "Carrodus" Guarneri of 1743.
It has a wonderful full, warm tone." (Jay Ifshin-Ifshin Violin Shop,
Berkeley, California - 2007)
"Maurizio
Tadioli, Cremona, 2006. Tadioli has become one of the most important
makers in Cremona whose work is appreciated all over the world. His
instruments have received awards in numerous competitions all over the
world. This exceptional violin is a faithful reproduction of the famous
"Cannon" Guarneri that belonged to Paganini, now on display in Genoa.
The tone has the maturity of a fine old instrument. This is indeed a
very special violin." (Jay Ifshin-Ifshin Violin Shop, Berkeley,
California - 2007)
You have won a
Certificate of Merit for tone with your wonderful
quartet! This is a wonderful achievement. I am so proud of
you!
All the best,
Dennis (Mr. Dennis Braun, Dallas-TX-November 13, 2004)
Dear Maurizio,
Not only have I decided to keep the Guarneri model for the shop but I
just sold it to one of my best customers just now! It will be in the VSA
competition and he will pick it up after the week is over.
He is going to tell a good friend about your cello so I have my fingers
crossed for good luck!
All my best,
David (Mr. David Kerr -Kerr Violin Shop, Portland, OR - November 6,
2004)
Dear Maurizio,
The violin did arrive today and I have spent the day adjusting the
sound on the two violins and the cello. The Guarneri sounds fantastik
and the Amati will be very good. I have not played the viola yet but I
think it will be a very good quartet. I will definately want to purchase
the Guarneri and am thinking about the other's.
All my best,
David (Mr.
David Kerr -Kerr Violin Shop, Portland, OR - November 5, 2004)
"One of the teachers at the violinmaking
school, Maurizio presents work that is satisfying in every way:
acoustics, models, finishing, varnish, et. al. Combine this with
the genuine modesty of the maker and you have a combination that is
truly winning. The instruments that I have seen from Maurizio have
all been antiqued, and the antiquing is towards the heavy side.
Maurizio makes instrument to be appreciated by musicians, and dealers
alike."
(Mr. Dominik Musafia,
Musafia North America, Inc.)
Dear
Maurizio,
I have the pleasure to communicate you that, during to realize custom custodies for violins and violas of our clients, we have ascertained that many of their have instruments from you built and of which are literally enthusiastic. Compliments for your job!
(From a letter of Mr. Dimitri Musafia - Musafia Italia)
I am still enjoying
the violin. Several people have commented that they would like to
order one from you, so you may hear from more customers. My
husband's concerts in Firenze are scheduled for June 25 and 26. We
hope to visit you sometime in June. Have a happy healthy prosperous
New Year! (Ms. Kitty Savia -USA-)
In May I started to
study with Sherry Kloss, who was a Heifetz pupil
(and to whom he gave his Tononi violin when he died). At my first
lesson, she said (after hearing me and playing on my violin) "I
really
like your violin"....I just wanted to let you know that I am still
enjoying playing your violin. It is like it is my partner in
solving musical and technical
problems -- and it has taught me so much! Thank you!
(Ms.
Dessie Arnold, -USA- )
Dear
Mr. Tadioli:
I have heard wonderful things about you from friends of ours, Kitty and
Al
Savia. Kitty bought one of your violins last year. I heard
it briefly at
one of the rehearsals she played with us, for a performance of the
Indianapolis Symphony. She often subs with us. I was
impressed with it's
quality of sound, and the obvious skill with which it is made....I have
a Paolo Testore violin 1750, that I play as a member of the
violin
section of the Indianapolis Symphony. I am beginning to search for
a healthy
modern Italian violin, that I can rely on as a main instrument....I
intend to go to Casa Del Sol tomorrow to buy your violin. It is
wonderful for me to find an instrument that has such quality of sound,
and is so comfortable to play on, because you are such a skilled
craftsman at the art of making violins. The harmonics come easily,
and the scales are all very even, up and down three octaves. The
fingerboard feels wonderful...and the violin is so beautiful that I
loved it immediately. (Ms. Catherine Rossi -USA-)
Mr. Maurizio Tadioli,
It is with great pleasure that I
write to say my son Willie, is
the proud new owner of one of your wonderful creations. Last Saturday we
bought the viola at Remyni, House of Music here in Toronto. My son had
borrowed this instrument twice and knew that it had generated a lot of
interest. It was on the advice of my son's music teacher, Kent Teeple of
the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, that we tried this viola and now have it
in the family. Willie is eighteen years old and tells me he may never
need another viola now that he has this one. My sincere thanks for the
joy my son feels and the music that is in our house.
Yours Truly, Bob (Mr. Robert Best - Toronto, Canada)
Dear Maurizio,
The violin has a deep and full sound, and is very rich and complex. I am
very, very pleased with it. (Mr. Romain Rabot - England)
Maurizio,
I hope all is well with you and your family. I have been busy this year
with Dolly Parton recording and touring. I really enjoy my violin you
made for me.( Mr. Jimmy Mattingly -USA- He play with Dolly Parton
and Garth Brooks Band)
The
violin arrived an hour ago and it is so very beautiful. My husband
is setting it up and we are honored to have another of your violins in
our
shop.
Thank you. Dixie Huthmaker (Hutmaker Violin
Shop, Atlanta -USA-)
Dear Maurizio Tadioli,
I want to congratulate you on your beautiful violin which we have
just sold for you here in Glendale (near Los Angeles)! The lady who
purchased the violin is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but was visiting
Los Angeles during the last week.... I was very impressed by your
clean work and lovely varnish.... (Mr. Tomas Metzler, Metzler
violin Shop -USA-)
Hello Maurizio! Yes, I bought your violin at Tom
Metzler's shop, and I'm SO
happy to play it! It's a beautiful instrument - I have been
looking for so
long for a replacement for my NF Villaume, which after awhile I found
too
nasal. I have had many of my colleagues play your instrument, and
they are
very impressed. And I invite my students to play it, and they are
also
impressed and happy!! My husband is a photographer, so I will have him
photograph me with your lovely violin and send it along. Many thanks,
Pam (Ms. Pamela Foard from Wisconsin -USA-)
Dear Mr. Tadioli
Thank you for the violin.... it arrived safely and we have set it up. It
looks very nice and the tone quality is excellent. I am looking forward
to
exhibiting it this coming week in the Cremona Exhibit. (Mr.
Kamimoto, Kamimoto Violin Shop, San Josč -USA-)
